Karna Johnson
Physical Therapist
Karna Johnson received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Widener University in Chester, PA in 1999. She initially worked in adult outpatient orthopedics and pediatrics in Wilmington, Delaware and then moved to Billings, MT to work for St. Vincent’s Hospital in their outpatient head injury rehabilitation program. She has lived in the Gallatin Valley since 2003, and since that time has focused on growing her skills in pediatrics, hippotherapy and aquatic physical therapy. All of these areas have helped her build a foundation in understanding how postural alignment, postural control and our various sensory systems have a profound effect on how individuals functionally move and interact with their environment. She has a holistic mindset and team approach to treatment, desiring to partner with families in helping each child reach their full potential.
She enjoys learning and growing in her skills as a physical therapist. Most recently, she has completed continuing education for evaluating and treating toe walking, evaluating and treating torticollis, and utilizing breathing strategies to improve postural control and function.
In her free time she enjoys gardening and hiking, biking and cross country skiing with her husband, her two children and two Golden Retrievers
